About Us


The Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System (PPLCS), a Special District, was established in October 1992, as an Administrative Office for the multi-county library cooperative system for Calhoun, Holmes, and Jackson Counties.

PPLCS serves over 109,890 residents with a combined collection of approximately 200,000 items in its multi-county libraries. The administrative office has the responsibility for Koha, an integrated library system (ILS). 

The Library Directors' Committee are held once a month on the first Tuesday at 9:30 am.

Board meetings are held once a month on the 3rd Tuesday at 2pm.**
