The Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System (PPLCS), a Special District, was established in October, 1992, as an administrative office for the cooperative multi-county library system for Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson and Washington Counties. 
The system serves over 109,890 residents with a combined collection of approximately 200,000 items in its multi-county libraries. The administrative office has the responsibility for the Koha automation system. Board meetings are held once a month on the 3rd Tuesday at 3pm and are open to the public.
